Ekotermex Waste Incineration Plant in Vyškov

Place:
Vyškov, Czech Republic

Year of completion:
1994

Client:
Ekotermex, a.s.

Project description:
The plant has two combustion lines. One system with a stationary chamber kiln was put in operation in 1992 and the other one with a rotary kiln is operated since 1994.
The plant is used to dispose of a wide range of solid and liquid waste from Vyškov and its surroundings in an environmentally sound manner.
Annual capacity of the plant is 2900 tons of waste at an average heating value of 20 MJ.kg-1.
The plant is situated in the industrial zone of Vyškov, spreading towards Pustiměř.
Main building has plan dimensions of 38 x 18 x 9.7 metres and there are two annexes sized 18 x 6 x 9.7 metres attached to the shorter sides, one of them used to handle solid wastes and the other one to decant liquid wastes.
Both combustion lines are equipped with steam boilers. Steam is used to generate electric power in a steam turbine.
The combustion line with the chamber kiln model GG 24 was supplied by Schiestl Hoval Austria, while the combustion line with the rotary kiln was supplied by Kettenbauer Germany.

Main technical data:
Schiestl Hoval installation:
